7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 or 3 heads lettuce, shredded
1/2 c. finely chopped purple onion
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked slightly and cooled
1 c. mayonnaise, mixed with 3 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Place shredded lettuce into straight edged bowl.
Spread each of the ingredients over the lettuce in order.
Do not stir. Refrigerate overnight.
Top with bacon bits or ripe olives before serving.
