Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
3 c. raw carrots, grated fine
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Preparation

Beat sugar and oil; add eggs and beat well.
Sift flour, salt, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and ground cloves together.
Add to egg mixture and mix well.
Fold in carrots and nutmeats.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
