Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small head lettuce, shredded
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
1 to 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. cooked bacon, crumbled or bacon bits
Preparation

Layer the ingredients in a 9 x 13-inch pan in the following order:
lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion and peas.
Spread mayonnaise evenly on top of ingredients, then sprinkle grated cheese and bacon bits over the top of mayonnaise.
Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors.
