Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    3 large eggs, beaten
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    approximately 1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in small amount of warm water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, mixing well. Sift together flour, cocoa and salt.
    Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Add soda and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
    Pour batter into 3 layer pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan which have been greased and floured or lined with wax paper.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
