Apple Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 apples, peeled and chopped
1 c. pecans or other nuts
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Soften margarine and mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and soda.
Add to sugar mixture.
Stir in nuts and apples.
The apples should be peeled and chopped into 1/4 to 1/2-inch chunks.
Use 2 large loaf, 5 small loaf or 1 tube pan, greased and floured.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Can be served with Cool Whip.
