Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. anise extract
Preparation

Mix flour and Crisco until texture of cornmeal.
Add sugar and eggs.
Mix, then add rest of ingredients and mix.
Dough will be sticky.
Chill and shape as desired - knots, logs, balls.
Bake and ice when cool.
