Aunt Bea'S Double Quick Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 1/4 c . flour, sifted
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.
Add sugar, salt, beaten egg, shortening and 1 cup flour.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in remaining flour; stir until smooth.
Scrape batter from side of bowl.
Cover, let rise in warm place (or over hot water) until double, about 30 minutes.
Stir down batter.
Spoon into 12 greased muffin cups, filling each about 1/2 to 3/4 full.
Cover. Let rise 20 to 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 400\u00b0 and bake 15 minutes.
