Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    48 golden vanilla wafers
    1 (4-serving size) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 medium bananas, sliced
    whipped cream topping
Preparation
    Line bottom and sides of an 8-inch square or 1 1/2-quart baking dish with golden vanilla wafers.
    Combine pudding mix, milk and butter in a saucepan.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Layer slices of banana over vanilla wafers, then add a layer of pudding.
    Repeat layers of vanilla wafers, bananas and pudding.
    Chill until firm, about 3 hours.
    Serve with whipped cream or topping and garnish with banana slices.
