Cinnamon Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. apple cider
    6 cinnamon sticks
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    orange peel or zest of orange
    rum (optional)
Preparation
    In a large saucepan or crock-pot, combine cider, cinnamon, cloves and orange zest.
    Bring to a boil.
    Turn down heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
    Serve mixture into cups.
    Add 1 ounce rum to each mug if wanted.
    Serve with cinnamon stick.
