Tomato Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Pepperidge Farm corn bread stuffing
1 (No. 1) can tomatoes
1 Tbsp. melted butter
1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
2 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. grated sharp cheese
1 c. sliced Vidalia onions
1/4 tsp. oregano
Preparation

Spread bottom of pie plate with stuffing.
In skillet, mix tomatoes, butter, drippings, salt and sugar.
Heat until well blended.
Put 1/2 tomato mixture on top of stuffing.
Put 1/2 cheese on top of this.
Place all onions on top of cheese.
Layer remaining tomatoes, then remaining cheese.
Sprinkle with oregano. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Excellent Lenten dish.
