Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 lb. bag caramels (35 individual)
    1/2 c. evaporated milk (Milnot)
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    1 c. chocolate chips
    2 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Unwrap caramels.
    Grease pan, no flour.
    Prepare cake mix according to directions on box.
    Pour 1/2 the batter into 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
