Cherry Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cherries
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. oil
    milk
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Drain juice from cherries; set aside.
    Add 1 cup sugar to cherries and put in greased baking dish 9-inch square.
    Put oil in measuring cup; add egg and enough milk to make 1 cup.
    Mix with 1 cup sugar and dry ingredients.
    Pour over cherries in pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
