Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cardamon
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. milk
2 egg yolks
3/4 c. Crisco oil
Preparation

Combine the flour, baking powder, cardamon, sugar and salt. Add the milk.
Add the egg yolks and then add the oil.
Beat egg whites stiff and fold in mixture.
Bake in hot waffle iron until light golden. Serve hot or like the Norwegians, serve cold with butter and slice of goat cheese on top.
Makes 10 waffles.
