Rhubarb Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. rhubarb, finely cut
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 box strawberry gelatin
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. well drained, crushed pineapple
    2 c. finely chopped apples
    1/4 c. nutmeats, finely chopped
Preparation
    Combine rhubarb, sugar and 1/2 cup water in saucepan and cook, covered, until soft.
    Cool.
    Dissolve gelatin in 1 cup boiling water.
    Chill and add to rhubarb.
    Add pineapple, apples and nutmeats.
    Chill and serve.
