Holiday Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 graham crackers
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. raisins
    1/2 lb. mixed fruit, peeled
    1 c. walnuts (optional)
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Roll crackers into fine crumbs.
    Mix with salt and baking powder.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Beat eggs and sugar; add the 2 mixtures together.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Spread into a 7 x 11-inch well greased shallow pan.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes; cut into bars. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    These will keep weeks in a tightly covered can.
    I always put a teaspoon of rum flavoring in mix.
