Ham-Cheese Sandwich Puff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. ground ham
    2 c. grated Swiss or Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. mayo
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    12 slices white toasted bread
    6 eggs
    1 1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine ham and cheese; add mayo and mustard.
    Spread 6 slices of toast with filling (filling will be very thick).
    Cover 6 sandwiches with 6 remaining slices of toast.
    Cut each diagonally into quarters.
    Stand, crust-side down, in buttered 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Beat eggs and milk and pour over sandwiches.
    Cover and chill overnight or at least 4 hours.
    Bake in slow oven (325\u00b0) for 35 minutes, or until custard sets.
    To serve, cut between sandwiches and lift out with cake knife.
    Serves 8.
