Creamy Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large yellow onions, chopped
    3/4 c. butter
    6 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
    6 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 1/2 tsp. thyme, crumbled
Preparation
    Cook onions in 6 tablespoons butter until transparent.
    Spoon onions into blender along with 3 cups water.
    Process until pureed.
    Cook mushrooms in remaining 6 tablespoons butter.
    Stir in pureed onion mixture, 3 cups water, bouillon cubes and thyme. Stir until blended.
    Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.
    Serves 6.
