Buttered Almond Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans sweetened condensed milk
    2 c. sliced toasted almonds
    2 liter bottle lemon-lime soda
    2 c. crushed pineapple or strawberries (optional)
Preparation
    Stir almonds and fruit into milk.
    Whisk in half of soda, pour into churn, fill with remaining soda and freeze.
    Best if \"ripened\" for one or more hours.
