Cayuga Critter Eggs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. pickled jalapeno peppers
1/2 lb. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 1/2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/2 lb. bulk hot breakfast sausage
4 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 box pork flavored Shake 'n Bake
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Devine and deseed peppers.
Make small slit down pepper; stuff with shredded cheese.
Mix Bisquick and sausage thoroughly.
Press small amount of sausage mixture into 3-inch diameter by 1/4-inch thick pancake.
Make one pancake for each stuffed pepper.
Mold pancake around stuffed pepper.
In bowl, combine milk and egg.
Dip each wrapped pepper in milk, then roll in Shake 'n Bake.
Bake on cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes, until brown.
