Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. cocoa
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup (light)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts, if desired
Preparation
    Butter loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3-inches.
    Combine sugar, milk, cocoa, corn syrup and salt in 2-quart saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until cocoa is melted and sugar dissolved. Let boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat; add butter.
    Let cool for a few minutes.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat vigorously and continuously 5 to 10 minutes with wooden spoon until candy is thick and no longer glossy.
    Quickly stir in nuts.
    Spread mixture in buttered pan.
    Let cool before cutting into squares.
