Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 lb. red cabbage, shredded
    3/4 c. boiling water
    3 large cooking apples, sliced, pared and cored
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. flour
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    speck of pepper
Preparation
    Put shredded cabbage in kettle and add boiling water.
    Cook, covered, 10 minutes.
    Add apples and cook 20 minutes.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Cook until tender, stirring frequently.
    Add additional vinegar or brown sugar, depending on personal taste. We leave recipe as is.
    Serve with pork chops, bratwurst or potato pancakes.
