Beef In Wine Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. boneless beef chuck, cut in cubes
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    1 bag frozen sliced carrots
    1/2 soup can sherry
    2 cans condensed golden mushroom soup
    3/4 c. canned sliced mushrooms, drained
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Sprinkle meat lightly with garlic powder.
    Put in heavy casserole or Dutch oven.
    Pour sherry over meat and let marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
    Mix remaining ingredients (except carrots) and pour over meat.
    Mix well.
    Cover and bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
    Add carrots the last 15 minutes of cooking.
    Serves 4 to 6.
