Chili Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. lean ground beef
5 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 carrots, sliced
1 sweet pepper, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 (17 oz.) corn, drained
1 (16 oz.) pork and beans
1 (14 oz.) pinto beans, drained
1 (26 oz.) kidney beans, drained
1 (4 oz.) mushrooms, drained
1 (28 oz.) crushed tomato
1 (28 oz.) tomato puree
1 c. water
2 tsp. oregano
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
Preparation

Brown beef and drain off excess fat.
Precook potatoes and carrots about 5 to 10 minutes.
Put beef in a large, heavy pot; add water and drained vegetables, green pepper and onion. Sprinkle in seasonings and stir to blend.
Simmer over low heat 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Serves 12.
