Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced peaches
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. oleo
    1/2 c. milk
    1 well beaten egg
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Arrange peaches in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with mixture of 1 cup sugar, almond extract and lemon juice.
    Heat in oven while preparing shortcake.
