Fruit Nut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 box brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour (cake flour)
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    2 eggs
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt margarine. Cream sugar. Beat in eggs. Add flour and vanilla. Place nuts on bottom of greased 2 1/2-inch deep 8 x 13-inch pan. Pour batter over nuts. Cut candied cherries and pineapple. Place on top of batter. When done, cut in squares. Bake in 300\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes. Makes about 12 servings.
