Cherry Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    1 to 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
    1 box yellow cake mix
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pour pie filling into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle 1/2 of the dry cake mix over the pie filling (store the rest).
    Drizzle all of the melted butter over the top.
    Add nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbly and golden brown.
    Serve warm with ice cream or Cool Whip.
