Ingredients

3 c. Pillsbury's Flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter (half shortening may be used)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs unbeaten
2 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat well.
Add dry ingredients; mix well; cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Open one package solid chocolate mint candy wafers.
Enclose each wafer in about 1 Tbsp. of chilled dough.
Place on greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Top each cookie with assorted sugar crystals, a walnut, or a pecan. Bake in moderate oven--375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
