Lime Fruit Salad(8 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (3 oz. each) pkg. lime gelatin
2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 small apples, pared, cored and sliced
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped, pared apple
1/2 c. chopped mixed dried fruit
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. dark raisins
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground mace
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in medium bowl; stir in cold water.
Pour 1/2 cup gelatin mixture into bottom of 6 cup ring mold; refrigerate until set, but not firm, about 30 minutes. Arrange apple slices on gelatin; pour 1 cup gelatin over apples. Refrigerate until set, but not firm, about 45 minutes.
Refrigerate remaining gelatin until the consistency of unbeaten egg whites, about 45 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients; spoon into mold. Refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.
Loosen edge of mold with tip of knife; dip mold briefly in warm water.
Unmold on serving platter; refrigerate until serving time.
