Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (1 lb.) Velveeta cheese (Mexican style), cut into 2-inch cubes
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1 pkg. refrigerated corn tortillas (white corn is best)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 can enchilada sauce (mild or medium)
    sour cream
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in large pot or Dutch oven.
    Drain meat mixture if necessary.
    Add remaining ingredients, except tortillas, to meat mixture and heat until cheese melts.
    Cut tortillas in quarters.
