Ingredients

2 c. flour
3 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 to 1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cut and blend in shortening to the flour, powder and salt, consistency of coarse meal.
Add milk.
Stir until it leaves sides of bowl. On floured surface, toss until no longer sticky.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes.
