The Original Kentucky Hot Brown - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
4 slices toast
4 slices turkey breast (1/4-inch thick)
8 strips bacon, fried crisp
4 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Melt butter in small saucepan.
Add flour and stir to combine well.
Add milk in a slow stream, whisking constantly over medium heat.
Allow sauce to thicken, stirring often.
Add cheese and stir to melt.
Season to taste.
Place toast on heatproof platter. Top with turkey and cover each with 1/4 cup sauce.
Divide bacon and Parmesan cheese among sandwiches.
Broil until cheese has browned and sauce bubbles.
Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
Good luncheon dish when served with hot rolls and a congealed salad.
