Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. syrup (dark or light)
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. pecan halves
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy; add next 4 ingredients.
    Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell; pour filling over pecans.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake for 35 more minutes.
    Outer edge of filling should be set; the center will be soft or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
