Squash Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of black pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    1 c. cooked, drained and mashed squash
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
    oil
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Drop by spoonfuls into frying pan with hot oil.
    Brown on each side.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Batter will keep one week in refrigerator.
