Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar (generous c.)
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    generous c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar, salt, Karo and water in saucepan, stirring until boiling.
    In large mixing bowl beat egg whites until stiff.
    Cook syrup until 248\u00b0, then pour 1/2 mixture into eggs while beating. Return to stove and cook until 272\u00b0.
    Pour in mixture and mix. Add nuts and vanilla, stir with wooden spoon.
    Drop with teaspoons as soon as mixture does not move.
    Always have someone to help, as it must be done quickly.
