Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 large onions, chopped
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can chicken broth
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1 box frozen, sliced okra
    1 lb. cleaned shrimp
    1 pt. oysters
    2 generous Tbsp. file powder
    cooked rice
Preparation
    Melt margarine in heavy Dutch oven.
    Stir in flour.
    Cook over low heat until dark golden brown.
    Stir constantly.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Cook until onion is tender, stirring frequently.
    Break up canned tomatoes and add with liquid to Dutch oven.
    Add chicken broth, water, salt, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
    Stir in okra and simmer until okra is tender, approximately 30 minutes. Add shrimp and oysters.
    Cook until shrimp curl and turn pink and the oysters curl on edges.
    Remove from heat and stir in file powder to thicken.
    Serve hot over cooked rice.
