French-Style Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon, diced
    6 pork chops, 3/4 inch thick (about 2 lb.)
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 (15 oz.) cans Great Northern beans, drained
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 c. white vermouth
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    2 bay leaves
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. kielbasa or smoked pork sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
Preparation
    Cut and measure all ingredients before starting to cook.
    Fry bacon over medium heat until browned (about 8 minutes).
    Remove bacon with slotted spoon and drain on paper towel.
    Brown pork chop in bacon drippings over medium heat, about 8 minutes.
    Remove pork chops, stir in onion and garlic.
    Saute 2 minutes or until tender. Stir in beans, tomato paste, vermouth, thyme, bay leaves, pepper, kielbasa and bacon.
    Top with pork chops.
    Cook until mixture comes to a boil, about 2 minutes.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour or until pork is tender.
    Makes 6 servings.
