Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can peanuts
    8 to 10 c. popcorn (2 to 3 microwave bags)
    8 c. Crispix cereal
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. oleo
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine sugar, oleo, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add soda and mix thoroughly.
    It will foam up.
    In large roaster, mix nuts, popcorn and cereal.
    Pour sugar mixture over popcorn mixture and toss to coat.
    Bake 1 hour at 250\u00b0, stirring every 15 minutes. Turn onto brown bags and cool in single layer.
    Store in airtight containers.
    Makes about 20 cups.
