Carob Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    3 pitted dates, chopped
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch or arrowroot powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) can apple juice concentrate
    2 Tbsp. carob powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Whiz
    all ingredients in blender, beginning with only a small amount of the water and adding the rest after dates are blended. Boil in saucepan for a few minutes.
    Serve hot.
