Italian Tossed Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

olive oil
juice of 1 to 2 lemons
dash of salt
dash of oregano
2 heads lettuce (leaf, romaine, bib, escarole, chicory, watercress, etc.), washed, crisped and torn
2 small green onions with tops, sliced
2 carrots, grated or cut in fine 2-inch long pieces
2 stalks celery, thin sliced
2 fresh cloves garlic, minced
Preparation

Toss together all ingredients.
Serve on chilled plates with Italian bread or crisp crackers on the side.
