Tempura - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3 c. water
    flour (to thicken)
    baking powder
    yellow food coloring (if desired)
Preparation
    Beat into a batter.
    Ingredients to be dipped into batter and deep fat fried:
    onion rings, eggplant slices, shrimp, green peppers, grated carrots and onions.
    (Mix into batter last and drop by spoonfuls.)
