Carrot Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean hamburger meat
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. celery, chopped
4 c. tomato juice
2 cans cream of celery soup
2 1/2 c. grated carrots
1 tsp. sugar
3 cloves garlic (yes, 3)
pepper to taste
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
Preparation

Brown meat; pour off drippings of fat.
Saute celery, onion and green pepper over low heat until tender.
Add tomato juice, cream of celery soup, 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, carrots, garlic and pepper.
Cook about 15 minutes.
Leave carrots a little crunchy. Pour over a slice of Swiss cheese for extra, extra goodness.
