Penuche Fingers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional). Add to the creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 20 minutes. Cool. Cut into fingers. Roll in confectioners sugar.
