Double Mocha Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs, separated
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. cold brewed coffee
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat egg yolks and add to creamed mixture; beat well.
Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Stir in cold coffee and vanilla.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 23 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Remove from pans and cool.
Frost with Creamy Mocha Icing.
