Drop Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 c. sifted flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    2 tsp. grated orange rind
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Combine egg and milk; blend well.
    Gradually add to dry mixture, stirring constantly; add shortening and orange rind.
    Beat until smooth and well blended.
    Drop from teaspoons which have been dipped in hot fat to prevent dough from sticking to spoons, use 1 teaspoon to push dough from the other teaspoon into hot oil.
    Fry and drain.
    Dip in Honey Glaze.
