No Fail Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. TV brand granulated sugar
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 c. cocoa
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Grease a shallow pan and set aside.
    Fill sink half full of cold water.
    Ina saucepan, combine sugar, milk, cocoa and syrup. Cook while stirring over medium-high heat.
    Boil until soft ball stage or 234\u00b0.
    Remove saucepan from heat, add butter and vanilla and place in sink of water.
    Cool slightly, then beat well until mixture thickens and loses its glossy shine.
    Pour quickly into greased pan.
    Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
    Cut when cool.
