Hamburg Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    2 potatoes, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped fine
    1 can green beans
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. celery leaves, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    1/2 c. barley
    1 large can stewed tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    7 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef.
    Add all ingredients, except potatoes, carrots and beans.
    Simmer for 45 minutes. Add carrots and cook for 10 minutes. Add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes. Add the beans in the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
