Hoke'S Banana-Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. cold water
    3 egg yolks
    1 c. Carnation milk
    1 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 or 3 bananas
    1 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan.
    Stir in cold water, egg yolks and milk.
    Gradually stir in boiling water.
    Cook, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
    Remove from stove and add butter and vanilla. Cool.
    Spread in a baked pie shell and push bananas (slices) down into filling.
    Whip the cream and cover pie shortly before serving.
    Refrigerate.
