Ingredients

5 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 (3 oz.) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix
1 c. shortening
1 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
3 tsp. vanilla flavor
4 eggs, beaten
24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add vanilla pudding mix; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together shortening and margarine.
Add sugars.
Blend thoroughly.
Add vanilla flavor and eggs; mix well until smooth.
Gradually add flour mixture 1/4 at a time, mix well after each addition.
Stir in chips.
Refrigerate dough at least 1 hour.
