Banbury Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Chopped Raisins
    1/2 c. Sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. Cracker Crumbs
    1 Egg Yolk
    1 Tbsp. Butter, softened
    Dash of Salt
    1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
    1 Tbsp. Lemon Rind
    2 Tbsp. Chopped Walnuts
Preparation
    Blend two tablespoons butter with 3/4 cups sugar.
    Add the juice of one lemon, some grated rind, 2 well beaten egg yolks and one cup of milk.
    Stir in 2 well rounded tablespoons flour.
    Last fold in two stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for nearly an hour.
    Serve cold with whipped cream.
    Serves 6, when baked in a pyrex pie dish.
