Certain Jingle Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    2 tsp. powdered sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 stick whipped margarine
    1/3 c. Crisco
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Dump flour, sugar and baking powder in bowl. Sift 2 or 3 times.
    Cut in shortening.
    Blend until of coarse cornmeal texture.
    Add buttermilk; stir about 12 strokes until well mixed and loose from sides of bowl.
    Turn onto floured surface.
    Sprinkle flour over dough.
    Knead for about 30 seconds, not too much.
    Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut.
    Place on heavily greased pan.
    Place in oven.
    Bake until light brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
    Melt margarine and baste biscuits when done.
